Elgiganten has been Boxon’s customer since the summer of 2022. The collaboration has gradually grown and Boxon is now the comprehensive supplier of everything from packaging and machines to an integrated web platform.
One of the challenges Elgiganten had, was that they worked with a multitude of different packaging suppliers in the 4 countries. There was a lack of overview and transparency regarding the purchase of packaging. Individual stores could buy what they wanted, and the packages that reached their customers looked different from country to country.
Elgiganten wanted a supplier that could deliver to all four Nordic countries. Ecovadis was a must and of course price and quality were important. They also needed an integration with their purchasing platform to save time on administration and order processing.
What was important to us when choosing a supplier was clear and transparent communication, that we work together on solutions and that there is freedom of prejudice when it comes to our needs," says Ronni Gylden, Nordic GNFR Manager.

It is therefore important that we proactively work to reduce our carbon footprint from our operations, products, and repair services (with our ambitious sustainability strategy), Ronni Gylden concludes.
Boxon was chosen as the sole supplier of packaging solutions in the entire Nordic region. The packaging range was made simple and limited without many choices. Boxon also presented a sustainable solution of shock-absorbing material, a filling material made of paper instead of bubble wrap. This meant a reduction in both plastic use and carbon footprint.
The efficient packaging range was supplemented with a fast and efficient packaging machine for all stores. In addition, a web platform was built that was integrated with Elgiganten's own purchasing portal.
Elgiganten has been very responsive and positive about our solution for all stores in the Nordics. It also helps a lot that we have some of the best and most innovative colleagues in their fields of expertise, says Osman Cakiroglu, Account Manager at Boxon.
