UN Women Empowerment Principles

To support gender equality, we sign the UN Women Empowerment Principles!

We are proud to announce that we have signed the UN Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs), established by UN Women and the UN Global Compact. By signing these principles, we commit to promoting gender equality, both within our company and in alignment with the UN Agenda 2030.

Historically, the packaging and processing industry has been perceived as male-dominated, and as in many other industries, women are underrepresented in leadership roles.

Gender equality for women

At our company, there has been a noticeable shift, and we have made progress in increasing gender equality and inclusion both at the management level and among our employees. This change has been crucial for bringing different perspectives and experiences, which drives innovation and decision-making.

WEPs are guidelines that strengthen women's position in the workplace, the marketplace, and society. The principles demonstrate how companies can contribute to and work towards gender equality and economic development by empowering women's rights and opportunities.

Principle 1: Establish high-level corporate leadership for gender equality

Principle 2: Treat all women and men fairly at work – respect and support human rights and non-discrimination

Principle 3: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all women and men workers

Principle 4: Promote education, training, and professional development for women

Principle 5: Implement enterprise development, supply chain, and marketing practices that empower women

Principle 6: Promote gender equality through community initiatives and advocacy

Principle 7: Measure and publicly report on progress to achieve gender equality
